Kaelyn Beckcom is an American fashion designer, artist, and aspiring philanthropist who was born and raised in Texas. Kaelyn grew up sewing with her grandmothers and by her teenage years, identified her true love for fashion that needed to become her future career. With a very specific degree plan in mind, Kaelyn gradutaed with a B.F.A. in Fashion Design. During her studies she further advanced her industry sewing techniques, learned pattern making both analog and digital, discovered a love for technical design and found her true creative design aesthetic being a little bit hard core and a lot fabulous. Kaelyn's craftsmanship techniques encapsulates combination fabric utilization while at the same time purposefully misusing textiles in a new, flattering way throughout the garment. She also tends to enjoy delicate fabrics and use organic linework throughout the designs.
Once graduated as a fashion designer, Kaelyn, the wren bird she is, traveled throughout Europe because she won an internship award for her fashion achievments and future potential. Getting the opportunity to immerse herself in the fashion offerings of different countries such as England, France, and Italy gave her new inspiration and an abundance of cultural insight.
After traveling and working for some time, Kaelyn hopes to open her own design studio where she can fully take creative control and share her designs with the world. Her goals for her company are to have an ethical and sustainable company where every employee feels like family and to have a standard for impeccable workmanship and unsurpassed quality control. Kaelyn feels that: “It will be an amazing feeling to let others feel beautiful in my unique opinion of beauty and design.”
